Adult (Standard MHFA)

This 8 hour course teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults.

Requirements

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old to enroll in a course.

  • All courses are taught in person and are scheduled in either a one session (8 hour) day or a two session (4 hours each) within four calendar days (i.e. Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday, or Tuesday/Wednesday).

Objective

The interactive curriculum gives foundational knowledge about common signs and symptoms, an action plan, stigma, accessing care — including potential barriers, as well as the importance of self-care.
